Warranty Coverage - Hills Communities

Hills Communities provides a One-Year Limited Warranty which covers defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty coverage offer two opportunities to request a warranty service call: after the first sixty days of occupancy, and at the one year anniversary of your closing date. We request that any problems be reported in writing to enable us to document your warranty repair history. For this purpose, please mail in your written request to our office or submit an online Service Request Form.


During your one-year warranty period

You may directly contact the subcontractors who installed the mechanical items in your home if repairs are needed on your HVAC, electric or plumbing systems. Refer to the Service Numbers in the back of your warranty guide binder for the community in which you live, or refer to the back of your Warranty Guide binder.


Additional Coverage - Ten Year Limited Warranty - Residential Warranty Corporation

This limited warranty, administered by Residential Warranty Corporation, provides our homeowners with protection for ten full years of home ownership and covers major structural defects. Please refer to the Residential Warranty Corporation Limited Warranty Guide provided in your closing packet for instructions on how to submit a claim.

General Information

If you have questions or concerns regarding the Common Areas (landscaping, building exteriors, interior corridors, etc.) of your community, please contact the property management company designated by your Homeowners Association.

Loud noises or disturbances should be referred to the police.

The warranty department of Hills Communities is reserved for all general questions of coverage, as well as any emergency situations (broken pipes; no heat; flooding; air conditioning not working and temperature is above 90 degrees or a medical condition exists; or threat of continuing damage to property. If there is a threat to human life or safety, please dial 9-1-1.
