LAST WEEK BEFORE YOUR MOVE [Print Version]
	Confirm connection/disconnection dates with the utility companies for both homes
	Finish packing - pack your suitcase and valuables separately. Designate certain boxes to be the last loaded onto the truck (these would include items like a vacuum cleaner, bed sheets, etc.)
	Empty, defrost and clean your refrigerator at least 24 hours before moving day
	Clean and dry all appliances at least 24 hours before moving day - tape electrical cords to each appliance and tape doors/lids closed
	Prepare a box of essentials you'll need upon arrival at your new place - paper towels, soap, toilet paper, small hand tools, cleaners, paper plates/cups, etc.
	Fill any prescriptions or medications you will need for the next couple of weeks
	Make childcare arrangements for moving day
	Notify friends and family of your new address and phone number
